The Capital District Senior Issues Forum is proud to sponsor and host The Senior Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony. This annual event is in its 19th year of recognizing older adults in the Capital Region over the age of 85 for their lifetime contribution in the following categories: business, education , faith based service, community service, military service and caregiving. Each year the 40 recognized honorees represent the very best of their generation and demonstrate that a growing number of older adults are living active and fruitful lives at an advanced age. Including the October 2016 Ceremony, The Forum has hosted 19 ceremonies to honor seniors aged 85 and older for their lifetime achievements (18 in Albany County and one in Schenectady County.) Representatives from faith communities and State and local governments have participated in every Ceremony. From 1998 through 2016, the Forum has recognized 756 persons, The last 15 Albany ceremonies have been hosted by Congregation Beth Emeth. Our sincere gratitude to our Ceremony partner, Temple Beth Emeth! It is through their support and generosity that this event is possible! Site for the other ceremonies were Albany’s Westminster Presbyterian Church in 1998 and 1999 and First Reformed Church of Scotia in March 2005.

The 2017 Ceremony date is not finalized at this time. Applications can be submitted on line or download the PDF for submission (after April 30, 2017). Applications must be fully completed, including nominees signature and photo submission.
